Since I use my google reader still and find all these fun sites and things, I thought I would share them in general instead of trying to message them to people individually. For starters, we have Santa Party Mix. This lady makes Santa hats and puts them in Chex Mix. I didn't feel like reading the whole thing especially since I've never made Chex Mix and while I'm currently at school won't be able to. But if you are interested in reading the full story, here is the link: http://cookiesandcups.blogspot.com/2010/12/santa-party-mix.html?m=1. I received the link from the ever so lovely Coupon Princess blog. :)
Here's the basic jist/recipe straight from Coupon Princess (couponprincess.net):
Ingredients for Santa Hats:
Bugles
Red Melting disks
Mini marshmallows
White sprinkles
Melt red chocolate, dip bugles in chocolate. Dip rim of hats with white sprinkles, and top with a marshmellow.
Other Ingredients for Chex Mix Recipe: (feel free to add your own ideas)
3 cups mini pretzels
1/2 cup craisins
1 cup salted dry roasted peanuts
2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups holiday colored M&M’s
8 oz. white chocolate for melting
Now, spread ingredients (all but M&M’s) on parchment or wax paper. Drizzle with white chocolate (per directions on package for melting)
Dump in large bowl and finish coating then lay out to cool.
Now, you can put these in cute jars and give as gifts, serve at a holiday party and more! All I can say is these are looking pretty delicious!
Enjoy. And give me some if you decide to make some. :)
